Malawi Projects

Compassionate Missions Center of Malawi wants to partner with you to provide food, clothing, water, health care and education to the native people of Malawi. They believe that Jesus has commanded us take care of the widows and orphans. With over 1 million widows and orphans in Malawi this is no small matter and they need your help.

All prices are in American Dollors. You can choose to fund a whole project or just make a donation to help with one or all of them.

If you feel led to help with our projects, you can do so from our donations page or contact me (Randy) directly

Let's put Christ back into Christmas!

We are all sick of the commercialism of Christmas.  Black Friday, buying the "right" gift, the traffic, fighting crowds in the stores, fighting about putting nativity scenes in public places, yatta, yatta, yatta.  So what are we going to do about it? Let's put Christ back into Christmas.  Jesus said in Matthew 10:42 "And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones in the name of a disciple-truly I tell you, none of these will lose their reward."

It is estimated that the clean water problem in the world could be solved for 10 billion dollars.  Wow that’s a lot of money or is it?  Last year in the United States alone we spent 450 billion dollars on Christmas presents.  So according to my math if one in 45 of us gave up our presents the problem would be solved.  WE CAN DO THIS!

Wells cost $5,500.  That will produce a lot of "cups of cold water" for the little ones in Malawi and you can receive your reward that Jesus promised.  Here is how it works.  If you could go to those who you know who are going to buy you a Christmas present and request that instead they give a donation to Compassionate Malawi in your name to help drill a well, buy corn or whatever you prefer.  Then if you are really bold you can ask them if they wish to do the same. Let’s say you want to give Uncle Joe a $20 gift.  I will email you a word document explaining the gift which you can print and put into an envelope just like a gift card.  If you wish I will send you a picture of a child in Malawi to enclose in the card to help make the gift real.

Sample letter:

Thank you for donating your Christmas gift to drill a well in Malawi Africa.  48% of the people in Malawi have no access to clean water so they must drink what is avalable.  Because of this one child in five will die before the age of 5 due to the water they are forced to drink.  If one of those children was with you now they would say this. "Zikomo chifukwa cha madzi abwino ndimakukonda." Transulated into english."Thank for the gift of clean water, I love you."

Thank you from Compassionate Missions Center of Malawi.

There will be a diferent letter for each type of gift.  Be ready for the tears of love to flow when you give them their gift.  From them and you.  When I first had this thought I wanted to drill one "Christmas Well."  For the last couple of weeks the Lord has been telling me to come boldly to the throne.  So here I come! 10 wells Lord, I want 10 wells by Christmas!

We can do this for anything you wish.  The RUTF peanut butter based food supplement you see below, Corn and rice.  The rains came late this year and the crops did not yield as much as expected.  While I was in Malawi in August there were stories in the newspapers that one million Malawians were going to face hunger in November, December and January.  Just look on the left side of this page and pick a project.  Even spreading the Gospel.  At Compassionate Missions of Malawi we have salvation crusades and plant churches.  Whatever the Lord puts on your heart we will see to it that your gift is delivered.

Will you help me put our Lord Jesus Christ back into Christmas?  Please make your checks payable to: Randy Whetstone Ministries and mail to

Micro Finance

At Compassionate Malawi we believe in teaching a man to fish instead of giving him a fish.  One of the ways we do this is through micro finance. By providing small loans to Malawians to start small businesses they have the oppertunity to become self sufficient.  For example, if Malawians can irrigate their land they can produce two crops a year instead of one.  By lending them the money for an irrigation pump they can produce twice as much food and will have extra to sell.  This money will then repay the loan and provide cash for medical care and other household needs.
